So let’s do nothing

Never pass up an opportunity to tear down the Democrats, huh?

It's unreasonable to ask Dems to do anything while the HOR is in recess. They'll be back the 29th. Barr's timing was excellent.

Expect this to drag out for some while with witness testimony, wrangling over documentation, outright obstruction from the Trump Admin & Senate Repubs ultimately voting to keep the Precious in office.

And leave it to the Democrats to obsess over nothing. Instead of helping to move the country, they'd rather obstruct progress and impede America itself.

They need to stop acting like little flies at the political table and join the feast of progress in this, the greatest economy in 50 years.

They’ll have to change the color of prison wear so the Dohnad doesn’t blend in with them. Lol!

Meh, don't even reply. It's obvious he's projecting. Conservatives want to shame others into behaving in a way that they themselves won't adhere to.

Republican leaders had a meeting in which they vowed to obstruct anything Obama did.

They have no intention of changing, they also controlled the presidency and both legislative pieces for two years and only managed to give wealthy people more money, permanently, out of the pockets of the middle class.

Republicans went off the deep end when Obama was elected. And behold, 8 years later, managed to elect a person thats a perfect representation of who they are. And literally just wants to tear down anything the Democrats did, specifically Obama.

Did they spend 8 years planning fixes for any of the items you listed? Nope.

So much for moving America forward.

It's interesting how Janet Reno sat on and then redacted the Starr report and the GOP was just fine with it back then...

Oh wait...

Trump supporters don't care. They know he is lying. They like it. They are one of the biggest threats to our democracy this country has ever seen and need to scurry back under the carpet from whence they came.

So the bottom line of the report is that Trump successfully obstructed justice wrt the Russia investigation. Mueller could not nail Trump for collusion because of Trump's broad campaign of obstruction and Congressional Republican backstopping of Trump's obstruction campaign. Score one for treasonous pigs.

Since the truth of Barr’s dishonesty has come out, I sure you “conservatives” would like to apologize for rushing to a conclusion over the Mueller report.

The law was changed (with Janet Reno's urging at that) which is why the Starr Report and Mueller Report were handled differently. Seems the newer law may need to be tweaked to undo some of the overcorrections made to the old law. Seems reasonable the public gets redacted version (striking out classified information, etc) while Congress always gets copy of unredacted report with strict safeguards to identify who (if anyone) leaks contents of it to the public.

Holy shit you are acting reasonable on this.
I mostly agree. Special Counsel Starr was way out of control, took way too long and was way over budget. That needed to be reeled in, now we appear to have reeled them in too much.

Well I continue to think the optimal solution to this is to make the AG an independent branch of government with the authority to investigate the other 3 but that would take a constitutional amendment. More realistic is having future special counsels report to the Supreme Court instead of the AG which somewhat removes nakedly partisan considerations about decisions like what lines of investigation to authorize or refuse, what findings to release and when, etc.

I find it sooooooooooo Donald Trump that.......
Donald Trump would, in his delusional world of Donald Trump, believe he could "win" people over to his side.
Did Hitler expect the Britts or Americans to come over to his side just because Hitler himself never personally killed a Jew or Gypsy or homosexual? With his own hands?
Does Donald Trump actually believe that because over 50% of Americans can't stand Donald Trump that he will automatically win those people over simply because both Trump and Barr claim Donald Trump is not a criminal or engaged in collusion?

I mean... most people, a majority of Americans, do not like Donald Trump. Period!
Do not support Donald Trump. Period!
They do not because Donald Trump is an idiot, a moron, lies by the minute, is thinned skinned, is extremely paranoid, treats women like dogs, lives to spread hate and divide Americans, and so on and so on.
If Donald Trump believes Americans are as stupid as he is, and he can con them like he cons his followers, well guess what Donald. Never gonna happen.

Most Americans can't stand Donald Trump because Donald Trump is Donald Trump.
An albatross of enormous proportions.
Donald.... you can't buy those Americans, you can't con those Americans, you can't own those Americans. Period!
It has nothing to do with Russia or William Barr.
Never did.
It's YOU Donald Trump.
It's YOU we see as the problem, Donald Trump.
So if you're waiting for a miracle, sorry Charlie.
Barr can kiss your ass, but most Americans never will.
So pull your pants back up, and go away.....

Given the big nothingburger testimony, will any of you be adults and apologize yet for being blind sheep lead by evangelical indoctrinated partisan emotional thinking vs. logical critical thinking?

The day after Robert Mueller said under oath that Trump ordered his staff to falsify documents in order to obstruct a criminal investigation shouldn’t you be apologizing?

It’s kind of amazing that some people are so ruled by their emotions and partisan dishonesty that they are still trying to pretend that a report that details at least six felonies being committed by the president is somehow an exoneration.

Honestly the OP and other conservatives really should start an apology thread to all the liberals here because in the end we were right - the president is a felon.

correction, he an unindicted co-conspirator

Whether or not he is ever indicted or convicted Mueller’s report clearly spells out collusion between Trump’s campaign and the Russian government/its agents and clearly spells out how Trump satisfies all necessary elements of felony obstruction of justice multiple times.

To me that’s a felon.
