Lucrative as it may be, I think it would be extremely difficult if not impossible to succeed as an apologist without totally sacrificing your personal integrity. The professional apologists I know of (Geisler, Craig, Ross, Hovind, Sarfati, and more) are all either monumentally ignorant or simply liars. Which depends on how charitible I'm feeling at the moment.

That's ridiculous. Tell him to get a religious job that's actually useful and not retarded, like preaching, or ministering, or fund-raising for a local church or something.

Logically proving faith? I've never heard of a bigger, more colossally idiotic waste of time.
