"Apocalypse Now, Redux"

I noticed that this extended version of "Apocalypse Now" is going to be on Showtime tonight.

Was wondering whether this is worth my time.

I was not hugely impressed by the original "Apocalypse Now" film (can't stand Brando's mannered performance, for one thing.)

Should I give this one a go? Anyone who has seen em both, got a comment?

If you didn't like the first one, I don't see any reason why you'd like this one. It's essentially the same film.

I want to see it. I was supposed to see it in the theaters but 9/11/1 happened.

Pretty much, except there's 51 extra minutes :Q

I really liked the film, but the "Redux" version is a tad much...... over 3 hours

This movie was made in 1979. It looked like it was made pretty recently when I saw it.
