APIC Mode

I read somewhere that this should be disabled. However, once Windows is installed you can't change what it's set to. Mine is set to enabled (I forgot to change it before installing windows), am I still safe?

I dual boot with it on and have had no problems
I'd suggest always having it enabled if you're using XP
