Looks like im a sheep.... baaaaa baaaaaaa baaaaaaaa

Seeing all these atkins threads got me thinkin, time for me to get rid of my excess 25lbs that i could sure as hell do without.

I started atkins yesterday (so technically im on day 2), the last time i tried atkins was back in highschool and i lost about 8lbs in a week, but couldnt handle the drastic change in food intake though. Back then, i hated to drink water, hated diet soda, and was addicted to crap foods. Fast foward to 7-8 years later and now i love drinking water, dont mind diet at all, and excercise quite regularly. Problem is, even though im quite active, i still have this extra pudge that wont dissapear.

So what are my thoughts so far?

Not too bad. Im handling myself quite well, but i have this strange feeling. Kinda like i fergot to eat something important for the past 2 days, and my body is like WTF is wrong with you :) Its hard to describe, prolly just carb withdrawl or something. I've kept myself to eating beef so far, gonna have some tuna for lunch in a bit, then chicken for dinner. My big thing now is i need to find a low-card snack food, just to hold me over from time to time. I've also found http://atkins.com VERY helpful, the carb counter is a great help and i plan on using the receipes in the next day or two...

Anyway, i'll update this first post to update ya'll on my progress every few days, and get it all out there... Wish me luck, i'll need it :D

Day 1: 198lbs [Mood: Slightly off]
Day 3: 195lbs [Mood: My ass hurts]
Day 5: 193lbs [Mood: Fine an dandy... Though i havent pooped since thursday]
Day 7: 192lbs [Mood: Feel fine, but im pissin out my ass again.....]

I never ate junk food (in 10 years i probably only had a single bag of chip and a pop or 2, and not a single chocolate bar), but even on the first couple of weeks of Atkins, i had huge carb craving, and had my first icecream in years. But once you get over the first couple of weeks, it's easy.

It is really easy once you get over the first couple of weeks on the diet. I can safely say that I have no more cravings for carbs, really.

I could not say that a couple of weeks ago.

My goal is 106 pounds. That would get me to the "ideal weight" on that absurd chart.

Please tell me your goal is to LOSE 106lbs, and not to weigh 106. Unless your a 5 foot woman, 106 is dangerously thin

Are you 10 years old, or 3 feet tall?

So, what would happen if I were to go on the Atkins diet? I'm 5'11", 145-150. :) I'm in good shape, work out, like how I look, but there's this little strip of fat over the bottom/3rd set of abs that won't go away.

Just curious...I imagine I'd die or something, since I can't get much skinnier, but you know what they say...curiosity killed the yadda yadda.

Cut back on cheese and cream if you're having lots of those. They can have a laxative effect. Increase the amount of fiber in your diet.

Are you gassy or fart frequently?

Actually, carbs cause much more 'gas' problems than a high protein/low carb diet. Although i'll agree that they smell a lot worse when you do let them rip.

LMAO :D

My mom did Atkins, and lost about 50 lbs on it. I lost 80, but I just changed my eating habits, and my job is very physical. Good luck Aphex!!
