No PM's?

Then no Hot Deal on this TV? CC B&M use to carry a lot of Apex stuff. Has anyone checked this out for a potential PM for a better price?

all this for a savings of 8% on this tv.. hehe.. on the rain check it says that the regular price is $94.99

That's what a Target employee told me also. All this fuss for $8, he didn't quite get it.

Has anybody bought the 13" Medion TV/DVD player from Office Max for $99 after rebate? Any thoughts on the quality?

I went and picked up a rain check today, lady said they get a truck tonight, so maybe I will call tomorrow and see if they have more :) If they do I am going to pay for it with my $100GC that I got for $74 a while back, so I get another 26% off :) Total cost is $69 including tax!!!

shiat....I would have been in on this if I hadn't bought my 20" daewoo flat a while back. On the upshot I paid about the same(although I would have paid even less at target since part of the reason I paid less on the Daewoo was buying gift cards to pay for the TV and I have enough discounted target gift cards to buy this).

Then again the daewoo is a better TV imo. I think it looks sharper and also has Component video in. It also has crappy distortion in the upper left but oh well, you can't win em all =-p and the Apex's are probably far worse.

Disagree with you on the Daewoo vs. Apex eval.

This Apex is a very nice TV for an inexpensive 20". I don't have any distortion in any of the corners.

Does your Daewoo have an s-video in??

For those of you that bought this Apex TV... do you hear a quiet buzzing noise coming out the back of the TV? Its not very loud, but it is noticeable. Make sure the room is quiet where the TV is, turn the TV on, volume all the way down, and listen towards the back of the TV.. do you hear it? I have another 20" TV, a Panasonic and it doesn't make that buzzing noise. I'm wondering if anyone else hears the noise on their $88 Apex 20".. if not, then I'll have to take mine back and get another one that doesn't buzz.

Hilarious! My first thought .. they practically give these away and someone finds something to complain about.

Second thought - check to see if mine "buzzes". With the set turned all the way down and me leaning behind it (neither scenario to be ever duplicated again) there is a slight hum that I can barely hear. Maybe yours is bad.

I might go out and buy a dB meter and measure the sound levels so you can more accurately report back to the hot deals forum your findings on this ambient hum.

Anyone know where he can get a deal on an SPL meter??

I think these are good ones:

Sound Pressure Meters for the television-challenged

Peace! ;)

I wasn't complaining just yet. So far its just an observation. On mine I can hear the buzz without getting behind the TV and listening. And by the way, the buzz found me, I didn't find it ;)

I tried 3 different stores here in the Orlando area on Tuesday night and could not find one of these, so I got a Rain Check.
Yesterday morning, I called the closest store to work, was on hold forever and finally the Customer Service Department told me that they came in.
I drove over, there were none on display and no mention of the item. I picked up the red phone on the Electronics's Desk and paged a rep. Within 60 seconds a guy came over, I told him that I had called and was told the TVs came in, he went in the back to get me one.
So be sure you ask and don't assume they don't have any if you don't see it on display.
I got home late last night, I did un-box and hook it up, but was too tired to climb behind the entertainment center, turn down the volume, press my ear against the back of the set and verify if there is a buzz present. Maybe tonight........
