Well, that is a good question. This is what I found.

Nowhere in the J&R description does it say 'FLAT'. The CC description also does not say 'FLAT'. Apex doesn't say 'FLAT', except on this television.

What I suspect APEX has done here is create a television that looks like a Sony WEGA in order to get you to think it is flat. APEX and Sony have had an ongoing battle for some time now. Sony doesn't like the fact that APEX is undercutting all of Sony's pricing.

I can assure you that the linked television is the only FLAT television that APEX manufacturs.

I bought the 24" Apex at CC today for $159 plus tax. The 3-d picture on the cc website shows its stereo, but its actually mono. Thats no big deal though, cause i have everything hooked up through my receiver.

Quality isnt the best, but its not too bad. It's a lot better than my 15 year old Maganavox television, so I got a good deal. Cant beat $159 for a 24" tv.

The apex's arent superflat like wega's, they are close to flat. But for the $119.99 i paid it rules.
