Looked at it while at my local Walmart; appears to be a decent alternative to Sony Wega for folks on tight budget. Link

How can you pm using the printout of the bestbuy webpage? It says they are no longer taking orders for it and it can't be picked up....something like that, anyway. I wonder if this comes in a 27" size at walmart?

Real good deal considering that a Toshiba 20 inch flat is going for $308 at Kmart. Too bad it's out of stock.

nah, it's a misprint. The tv's about 97lb, but it does feel a lot more than that. I almost broke my back carrying it to second floor of my apartment.

My local K-Mart (going out of business) has a ton of these for $219.95 minus the liquidation discount - currently at 20%. That means take one away for about $176. The liquidation sale is supposed to drop to 30-40% off by this week end, which would make this a really good deal. They also have 1 24" Apex flat screen that I had my eye on. A half dozen or so of the 24's left the store as soon as the discount dropped to 20%, so doubt that I'll be able to get one. 20" is just too small for my tastes.

Is there someone who actually owns one of these and can tell us more about it? I am really tempted to buy one for my bedroom.

Man, I'd love that 27" Panasonic. Has anyone had success PMing it even with the OOS statements on the webpage?

picture's good, but the case and the remote are cheap. It has three a/v inputs (one s-video) in addition to the cable/antenna and an a/v output as well. The first one I took home had the tube pushed into the case leaving a gap on one side -- returned it for a second. Still, pretty good tv for under $200.

Saw the Apex TV at Wal-mart today. It looked pretty nice, my impression of Apex is positive since I owned an AD-500W that was excellent for the price.

BTW Walmart also had a 2-pack DVD of Pearl Harbor and another movie (Enemy of the State, The Rock, and a couple other movies) for $19.44. Enemy of the State is a good movie and Pearl Harbor is a nice exercise for your home theater speakers.
