What amazes me is I posted a deal back in September on how to get this for FREE and it only got 5 replies!

The thing only puts out a maximum of 200 watts so don't bother plugging your entire system into it. I only got about 3 minutes of run time out of it with a 15" monitor and a PIII. I ultimately wound up plugging my VCR into it. It will run for 50 minutes with the VCR in record mode.

Got hard shutdowns (haven't install software yet) between 3:30 and 3:45 min. with a PII 450, 250w PS, 19" monitor and external modem. Weird that I could get 20+ min. with my older Tripp-Lite 500VA UPS. Wouldn't think 150VA would make that much of a difference.

Hopefully people interested in this already took advantage of the Conext offer a few months ago. Attach the Conext -- with no auto shutdown -- to your monitor and this APC to your CPU. Great combo. Takes up a bit of space; but who cares?

I've got a 3yr old(almost time for a new one) APC 300VA plugged into my Panasonic CF-25 laptop, 17" monitor, pc w/350W ps xp2000+ and radeon 9700pro(these suck lots a juice), and my midiland 60W 2.1 speakers. It lasts almost 20min. with everthing on. to give you an idea of what a 350VA will do new, should let my config run another 15min. or so more than my current ups.

That's a sweet deal, 3 yrs ago my 300VA cost me $90.

I have an athlon xp2100+ system on one that lasts about 12 minutes... For those of you who only get 2 minutes out of a p3 system I would suggest getting a replacement because there must be something wrong (or possibly you have it set to shut off your computer after 2 minutes and think that means that the battery is out of juice which is not correct)... My p3 file server (with 12 hdds, cdrw and cdrom) lasts about 9 minutes...

RDMustang1, it's the monitor that eats the most juice. What size/type monitor are you running?

I just got the ups today via UPS. What makes me mad is that the box was not even packaged in anything. All that office max did was put a sticker directly onto the APC box and shipped it. The box was a dented, but it seems to have survived the trip.

Also, what are we supposed to use for the sales receipt? All I have is the email from Office Max... just print it?

A 19" monitor can take around 110W (typical) to 130W (max).

This unit has USB connectivity, so having a monitor connected as well isn't as big of a deal if all you're after is not losing what you were working on during a power outage. Just set your PC to go into Suspend-to-RAM or Hibernate mode when the battery level reaches a certain level (for prolonged outages).

I bought this back in July under the same office max deal....I have yet to get my rebate from RebatesHQ.com....After almost 3 months of waiting...I went and checked my rebate status and it says: "Your rebate is valid and your reward is scheduled for fulfillment. Please allow 10 to 15 days for mail delivery. Thank you" This was after my 30 day wait where it was processed.

Anyway if you need your rebate money back in under a couple months dream on and good luck.

Yes, print the e-mail receipt and mail it in with the upc off the box...mine was shipped the same way...
