Let me see if it is true. I got a cash register print out from BestBuy, it does not say that you have to buy it from BB, It may work.
I'll call APC and see what the hell is going on...

My scanner right now is not connected and acting up so I'm not gonna be able to scan it...

FACT: OD is actually selling these APC UPS 500s at $69.99 ($129 msrp - $30 price reduction/instant rebate - $30 mfg. mail-in-rebate). As for the rebate form, you have to ask one of the employees (preferably the manager) to give you one...you can't download it from anywhere. How do I know this, you ask? Well, I bought one myself. The deal still works. I got the $30 MIR form from the local OD (it was in the filing cabinet in Cust. Service under "A&quot. It did not have a store name on it -- it is good for a Back-UPS 500 purchased anywhere 1/14 thru 1/20. Next, I found a valid 30 off 100 code for Staples, and phoned to request a PM with OD's $99.99. They gladly complied, and applied the coupon code. Net billed (with local tax) was $75.50, with free shipping. After MIR = 45.50.

Thanks for the great deal info! With the rolling blackouts hitting LA, I'll need this UPS! MIR expires 1/20, so HURRY!
