Semi-Linked for the lazy... (didn't want to deal with session ID's)
goto http://www.circuitcity.com/
search for 900va

APC Battery Back Up W/ Surge Protection
Brand/Model: APC CNB900

I couldn't find this on APCC website....no surprise there, site is weak.

Not sure the "CNB900" is legit. I did a search on Google.com for "CNB900" didn't find much.
Here's a rebaged version at Compusa....same price.

I wish I had the $. I love these things. I have been slowly aquiring the 300 and 200's and putting them around my house. When there's a power outage, I still watch tv/ have some light/ can use my computer/ listen to the stereo.
This would be great for the big-screen... gotta go ask the wife.

That is actually a Conext model and is supported by Conext. While it is made by APC it is not supported by APC it is a Conext Product.

Conext?? Ewwww... yuck :| Thanks for the info.

I have not have any problems with my pair of Conext CNB900s. I have had them for over a month now. Office Depot put them on clearance a while back and I got mine for $48 a piece. The monitoring functions are nothing fancy. But I'm not running a server, so I don't need them.

lucky u.. if i get a house, i want a nuclear generator.. so when power goes out.. i'll start glowing green... hehe..

Conext is basically APC's crappy little brother who is used to compete with companies like Belkin. All Conext's products are overrated (APC 650 = Conext 700, APC 280 = Conext 300, etc.). Conext's surge protectors are APC's little known "Basic" line (much worse than the Personal Surge Arrest). I would not trust a Conext product. Also, APC denies being related to them even though I am 99% sure (with proof) that they are related.

Proof they are connected....

How about the APC software disc that was bundled in the one my Father picked up a couple of months back 🙂

<< Proof they are connected.... >>

Also, go take a look at where they are located and where APC is located. They are just a few minutes down the road. 😉

yes it is a conext ups
yes it is APC

i just bought two more (total four!) for the office.

they work just fine.

if any of the critics of this UPS know of a comparable product (or better) for $69.99 (or less) please provide a link so i can get one, otherwise....

Uh .. apc never denies making the units ... I think I would know .. I work for them. What I can tell you is that the support for these units through Conext is little to none.

The CompuUSA one is cheaper by $10, print it out, take it to Circuit City, and get a pricematch + 10% of the difference, so $11 off the Circuity City price. They might pricematch other places too that are less.

It's a rebadged APC, black, very nice... too bad it's serial and not USB, but for the price, who can complain? They even include the APC Powerchute Plus software with it.
