I'm sure the 1500 isn't identical, but my 1200 is silent as well until the power goes out.

This is a steal for a very solid UPS. I have the RS 1000, and it's been a trooper.

I might get one of these. My old Belkin (800VA, I think?) just bit the dust. This would be a beautiful replacement.

Wow, I just got mine a little while ago.
This thing is a monster! I really wasn't expecting so big and heavy (29 pounds). But hey, I guess that's what 1500VA & 865W gets ya.

Good news is that it is completely silent while on power.

Yup.

Probably not laser printers, though ... too much current draw when it is printing. :)

Damn can anyone confirm if this is the RS or the XS version? I will call tomorrow. I just bought the RS1500 version a few months ago from Amazon. I need to buy two more for my job. Two of these would be ideal but I've heard bad things about the XS. I hope it is the RS. If I find out tomorrow I'll update my post.

Good find for sure. I'm in for 2. One for the home theater setup and one for my computer. Thanks BIGFOOTPI!

Note: If you're doing in-store pickup make sure to choose the store first or you'll have to retype your address and payment info. ;)

Great deal. I picked one up today. They let me use a 10.00 coupon, even though it was not supposed to work with it, and I had 18.00 credit to use in their reward program deal, so I got out the door for about 80.00, not bad. Thanks to the OP....

Picked up one for my wife's computer. I can confirm for Nocturnal that the only ones available in any of the three stores in my area were the LS versions -- made in India by the way.

I have in operation three of the APC Smart UPS 1000 units, each of which weighs slightly over twice what the BR1500 weighs. Battery technology has not improved so much in only five years as to decrease the weight by half and imcrease the power storage by 50%. ?

OOS for me all last week, I checked again tonight and the price has skyrocketed to $199 each.

I have 8 UPS's sitting here running my equipment.

"Rated" from 450 to 1100VA. Of those the Cyberpower 485, APC 650 and Conext 900's are pretty much the same physical size and weight. The CyberPower 900 is 50% larger and the APC 700XL is 300% larger, physically.

They are all lightly loaded and usually can provide over an hour of backup each. They are varying ages and I've noticed the Conext seem to be about ready for a battery.

Except for the APC 700XL which appears to be an industrial grade unit, the others were obtained from Staples over the past few years, usually for less than $50 a pop on sale / after rebate.

I got the 700XL from a friend whose company was trashing a bunch of them due to bad batteries. I purchased a new set of batteries off eBay for $140 and it is running great.

I was looking forward to adding a couple of the 1500?s in this thread to my arsenal, too bad they didn?t have any to sell.

Looking for Staples to unload some soon, otherwise I'm sure I'll have to re-battery most of these the next year or two.

I ordered 2 of these the last time they were on sale for the same price. these things are HEAVY and probably the cheapest and best 1500VA UPS you can find.

I picked up 2 Cyberpower UPS's on a deal. Mom and bro each picked up one each. All 4 were dead within a year. Needless to say I'll never purchase a Cyberpower product again. ;)

Edit: Thought I should mention that I got 2 of these APC 1500's and they are silent as long as the power is on.

I'm so bummed. I was watching this deal and meant to go pick one up. Went to my OD this morning and the price was $199. Online shows this also.

OP might want to mark this deal as being dead.

Did you call Cyberpower up? They have a fantastic RMA policy, and it is 3 years warranty for the 1000VA+ models.

IIRC all of their UPS models carry a 3 year warranty.
