Hey guys.. I just accepeted a position with Booz Allen in Rockville. I am curious to find a decent place...I have found a bunch of overpriced places in that are. Is anyone on at from Clarksburg or Damascus, that has information about apartments.. Anyone with information Please help (=

Grove park apts at Gaithersburg are pretty cheap
from $825 and up

not bad places either..

the commute from frederick every morning is h3ll...and with the way frederick is growing, it's not much cheaper..probably equal
 
check out: alderbranch at fallsgrove (rockville)...good location and brand new ..but a little expensive...1300 for 2 bed

How bad is that commute ? I have found places for like 900 a month for a two bedroom..


What do you guys think about Clarksburg or Damascus..?

I work in Rockville. The people who drive from Frederick say it can be terrible. I agree the prices around here do suck. The housing prices are through the roof. What type of price range are you looking at? Have you tried those websites like apartments.com?

MustISO:I hear some say its easy taking Rt 355 and some say its horrible simply because of I-270. Id like to find a decent priced 2 bedoom apartment.. My g/f soon to be engaged to her is moving down here when she graduates with her bachelors.. So it wouldnt be as bad when she moved. I am honestly not sure. I just want to not pay out the YING yang and be happy at the same time ya know...I have tried rent.com, apartments.com and apartment.com and let me tell you what.. THEY SUCK. they are for like unreal prices if you ask me or they are pieces of crap. I want something in the middle.. not a piece of crap but nothing that is like i found 22 grand a month to rent LOL..

It's only 5K to commute 160 mile/day for a year. Either that or paying 12K (1K/month) in rent. The choice iz yourz.
 
hmm... my parents just finished the basement and are looking to rent it out... dunno if youll be interested tho.....

i may PM you in a couple hours. have to work on something right now but remind me to PM you if i forget to.

(we live in a nice area in germantown, just a ten minute drive to rockville on 270)

there's a place on muddy branch road,,, i used to live there, its called Brighton Village apartments, muddy branch doesnt get too much traffic so ur drive to rockville wont b too bad (from muddy branch to I-370 to rockville pike), i'm not sure how much rent is there now, but when i was there it was close to 1150 for 2 bedroom 2 bath...but that was like 5 years ago

as for damascus, prices r cheaper around there i think,,, but in terms of driving its still a little off aint it?? n depending on where u r, i dunno if u'll have a major roadway leading u into rockville..... my 2 cents
