Apache server cant access from outher computer

So i just made an apache 2.2 server by following this guide

I got it so i can view localhost and it prompts me for my password and username, thats all fine and dandy, but as soon as i try to access it from the external IP it wont work, it says unable to connect. I fowarded the ports 80 and 80 (starting and ending) on my router for TCP/UDP and set teh server IP to my computers (static) ip. Is there anything special that I must do in order to gain remote access?

Works for me ...if I only had a name and password to get beyond the login screen

A username and password are being requested by http://24.147.12.173. The site says: "This is a private area, please log in"

If you are trying to access it locally (ie:the web server is using same switch/router as your client)
you probably should use the private IP address

Nope, i figured it out, i disabled windows firewall, but it re-enabled itself. So that was the issue, the username and pass are supposed to be there. Its my private website.
