The Apacer Ram that I bought has Infineon/Siemens chips on the board, which are very compatible with a lot of chipsets. Don't know if this goes for all Apacer ram though.

I worked for a place this summer that only used Apacer memory. In my experience it was very good. The modules we got all had Infineon chips, and had a high quality PCB. Hope this helps for anyone not familiar with this memory.

I just bought one of the 128 Meg Apacer Cas 3 modules and looked at the chips but I was unable to identify the manufacturer. How can you identify them as being made by Infineon/Siemens? BTW I bought mine from MyAOpen.com.

umm, something you guys might not know about this apacer ram... according to their spec sheet here, this ram is rated at 10ns. normal PC100 is rated at 8ns. just a heads up if you're planning on overclocking...

Hmm, my chips were 6-7ns, I can't remember which so that info may be wrong or outdated, I don't know which. Also anyone planning on buying these at MixPC will see they have free shipping but be aware that they charge a $3.00 Processing fee. Price just went down to $59.00 at accessmicro for the 128 Meg module. I'm tempted to get a second one even though the price is almost dropping daily. I've heard mixed review about accessmicro. Does anyone have any inputs about the companies selling this memory? I just bought at Myaopen and I was very happy, fast shipping and good communication.

***Sorry, I was talking about the 128 meg module, not the 256***
