Seems the FBI knows that Timothy McVeigh worked with a white supremacist group known as Elohim City on the bombing.

Do you think they will try to prosecute anyone else?

Isn't it interesting that no-one at ATOT seems to care about a white domestic terrorist group?

I wonder if you'd have gotten more replies if this was YAMTGP (Yet Another Muslim Terrorist Group Post).

I was thinking - WTF - why doesn't anyone on ATOT care? 168 people dead. Horrible act of domestic terrorism and there is knowledge that more people than McVeigh and Nichols were apart of it? Why not go after the bastards that killed so many people?

'course, if this thread does become popular, it'll likely be cuz of a discussion as to why this thread wasn't popular.

My 2 cents tho' is that McVeigh is dead, thus "closing" that chapter. To a certain extent, I think the general public would feel that if Osama or Saddam were killed, then all is A-OK there as well, as opposed to realizing there's plenty more madmen to replace 'em.

People do, but you have to admit they have not been in the news much lately because they haven't done anything major in a while.

However, Muslim terrorist groups seem to be very active.

I am sure the next time a white terrorist group blows up another building or kills a lot of people, they will be actively discussed as well.

Unless you can find someone who's supports the group and what they did, you won't have much of a discussion. :)

How about a discussion as to why prosecution is not being brought against the leaders of this group?

Evidence is probably one reason.

The FBI believed at various times they had found "links" to at least two other groups in addition to Elohim City, none of them were found to have any role in the OK City Bombing after thorough investigations.

Remember how the media reported (and some continue to) for days McVeigh's "connections" with the Michigan Militia? Yeah, well, it turned out there were no 'connections'.

McVeigh had once accompanied a friend to a rally or meeting, that was it. Whether McVeigh didn't think the Michigan Militia was 'extreme' enough for him, or the Michigan Militia thought McVeigh was too extreme for them, is hard to say, but one of the two is true.

McVeigh had probably patroned McDonald's dozens of times, that doesn't mean McDonald's has any complicity in the OK City Bombing.

How about a discussion as to why this info is just now being uncovered and given to the public?? Didn't they execute McVeigh already?

Because none of it would be exculpatory, at best it means McVeigh had another accomplice. In fact the FBI had believed for some time there was at least one additional accomplice but couldn't find or identify any particular individual:
FBI officials acknowledged some of the documents were not provided to McVeigh's defense team before his trial and that agents suspected at one point that the bomber was linked to Elohim City and the Aryan Nation bank robbers.

But they said that after more than 1 million investigative hours that generated more than 1 billion documents and checked 43,000 tips, FBI agents found no concrete evidence of McVeigh conspirators beyond Terry Nichols, who is in federal prison.

"We believe we conducted an exhaustive investigation that pursued every possible lead and ran it to ground," FBI spokesman Mike Kortan said. "We are confident that those who committed the crime have been brought to justice and that there are no other accomplices out there."
