I just bought an AK72 based system that has 64mb ram, an ATI expert 32MB Graphics card, audio on board, 2 HD, one SONY DVFD 220E, an Intel 10/100 LAN card...Enlight ...300W PS.
When we turn on the machine, it start to load the bios and goes almost immediately to a blank screen with only a blinking curson on top. You hit the reset button, and this time without fail goes into loading win98SE but stops with the MS start up menu 1. Normal 2 Logged 3. Safe mode. etc... with the normal highlighted and the clock running down from 30 seconds. You hit RETURN at any point and finally the computer fully loads Windows 98 and is ready for...action. IT DOES THE SAME EVERY TIME THE SYSTEM IS STARTED. It is frustrating, annoying and not so cool. What is the fix? What is the problem I should say and then ask for the fix? Any help, support, guidance, recommendations and solutions most welcome and appreciated, especially if it via email (sunafif@bigfoot.com). Many thanks.
