I have one. It works good. It can handle alot of the safelocks on the newer CD's and has good DAE.

We've had alot of returns with the AOpens at work in the past few months. Don't know what's up with that so we switched brands.

I didn't know overburning a cd was criteria...

Lite-ons are awesome drives... but what are you trying to overburn?

(I've got a lite-on 24x10x40x that's ripped over 500 cd's and burned at least 1000)

Granted I know that isn't a lot yet but it's gonna last for some time...

I have a Buslink 52x CDrw, which is a rebadged Aopen. It's been running fine for 6mo now with no probs. It seems loud to me when it spins up, but I guess that's normal for most of the higher speed cd burners I've heard.
