Anyone know about this burner? If its decent, I will cancel my order with staples and just get this one for basically 10 bucks more.

I don't think that it has burn proof or anything similar to that..

It says right in the title of the item on the accessmicro page that it has Just Link

It has Justlink which is Yamaha's version of burnproof. Here is a review of the drive. Just ordered it from them for 83.95 shipped. :) Unfortunately, don't know what kind of stock they have and i tried calling but sat on hold for a while.

Now I have to return that 16x sony I just bought an hour ago to staples. Sigh.

Thanks for the heads up. :)

Edit: sorry, i guess Justlink is a Ricoh invention not Yamaha. My bad. :D

I just picked one up. Great find. Was a little sketched out by their statement about the California Tax Board allowing them to charge sales tax on shipping. Has anyone seen this anywhere else?

In fact, if you read about the Aopen drives, they are based upon Ricoh designs (with some changes). See, for instance, this thread and similar ones at cdr-labs.

$75 is too good to pass up. As you (may) know, I was going to get the Sony 16x10.

If you have an account with them check your old email as they send me a $10 off $50 one time use cupon and I used it with this burner. I got this cupon 45 days ago and it is valid for 60 days.

Nice deal...I wish I had not just bought my 16x Lite-on a month ago. Oh well, I guess there is not that much difference
