Does dnet fetch/flush through an AOL dialup connection? I have a couple people whos computers I service and haven't installed the client on it cause I wasn't sure if it would fetch/flush properly through AOLs dial-up adapter.

I don't know, but I'm very sorry for you.

Have you tried proxies?

Yes it works, but here is the problem. You cannot track who and where the blocks are comming from. AOL hsa a series of complicated proxies and a couple ranges of IP's that all users share. I have a few people on AOL, but there is no way for me to track their work to me on the FED proxy. When my DSL gets installed i will run my own pproxy so I can keep everything strait. If you plan to ever track AOL work, I advise you do the same.

To be more specific, yes, the client will work through AOL. You need to adjust two settings however to make sure it works properly. First, under "interfaces to watch", put in a "*", which indicates for the client to watch interfaces. Secondly, you need to set the "Dialup Link Detection" to the passive mode, which is called "Dial-up dection ONLY mode". Once you do those, the client will exchange blocks whenever the user dials into AOL. Oh, and BTW, make sure you use the latest client, 469.
