AOL IM 5.5 Sucks!

I'm looking at sign on/off... No option to remove the startup popup.

Truimph if it's 5.5 it will have as psydancerqt says under Setup->Sign On/Off

nope. i am running a beta version that i downloaded before 5.5 was released, that may be the reason. i'll have to check my home PC after work.

it's more of a principle for me.. why did they knock off a very USEFUL feature? Altho they claim you can adjust the aol sounds? i bet that is a global setting too.. can't do each individual sound.


but yeah, i'd use trillian.. if profiles worked properly.. and if it didn't cost $25. There was a bug in which links in the html profiles would always open up in IE.. i dont' want that. And idle times get screwy as well. gaim would be nice if it didn't pause on my system every so often, and had an externally access history.
