Let say you are using @Home service and tonight we go down. If you currently a paid subscriber and switch over to AOL will you still be able to post messages on Anandtech thru the subscriber server?

That does suck it seems that it would not be that hard to allow that range of ips to come thru that server. I do not think anyone is going to pay money to start posting crap again that caused the block to begin with!

It is a single database, regardless of server. It is not possible to make a change that does not affect all users, not just subscribers.

It would make sense to me for the subscriber server to have a different restriction list than the public server. A subscriber has more at stake by posting junk than someone who just created an account. I doubt it would be that much work creating a separate ACL. However, I realize that anandtech is not the only user of FuseTalk and I have no idea how many things are on Zuni's TODO list. Although, personally I don't think it is much of a loss for AOL users to be blocked. I don't know anyone highly technical who can stand using AOL even for a short period of time.

If you have to use AOL, there are ways around the AOL block. I guess the idea is to block those people who can't figure out how to get around it.
Please do not PM asking how to do it, unless you are a moderator or someone of authority wondering what I am talking about. However, I am sure the moderators know the ways around it.
