But as poverty and misery spread and become more and more widely shared, more and more people will awaken to what is happening and socialism will grow in popularity. I think a big part of the problem is that we have gotten to where we are by the skillful manipulation of our hatural human condition of vulnerability. By the stead implication that socialism leads to disaster people can be trained to fear it. In order then, to move back to the left, all of that terror will be physically expressed and all the hate that insecurity generates will also manifest. This, in my opinion, is why Democrats must take care with their message. The best way to do that in my opinion, is to educate. Democrats need to tell the public how they have been tricked. It will also require that liberals do not become what they fear about authoritarianism.

She founded BAP in 2012 but went to work for Bernie in 2016. It isn't clear if she was in charge at the time. Her bio doesn't say and nether does the story. SO based on what we know now Fox is attempting to smear by implication.

I think what you are saying is what I have always said, that Sanders had the message that the County needs to hear, that in order to restore our democracy we have to undo the fact that we had a class war nobody saw and it was won by the 1%. The Democratic party since Bill Clinton, played to the rich more and more politically in order to win elections which, for the 1% meant permanent victory since they owned both parties.

And 'her turn' is not like the 'birther thingi'. The birther thingi is a delusion, a lie, a fraud, and a smear campaign. Her turn was a feeling many many Democrats had and struggled with emotionally. I was personally affected by it and it made me very uncomfortable. I felt a great affection for her as a political leader and I suffered from her lack of message that I wanted to hear. I felt the same way when I emailed Senator Obama and told him to run and he announced a few days later. I know many who could not make that switch and stayed with her for loyalty's sake.
