Damn, must've missed that one. When/where did it happen? And I ain't speaking about Trump.....
😉
One particular example?
Columbia, May 10th, 1957
An election was held in 1958 and won by Camargo.

Darn it...and I thought I was reading well and broadly when I was 4. Guess it slipped by.....lol!
So apparently both Alexandria O Cortez and Ilhan Omar are proclaiming that the situation in Bolivia is a coup.
Regardless of the facts of an audit showing election fraud....
Regardless of the facts showing questionable time lapses in the results magically changing overnight....
Yet stupidity still reigns supreme. Can you get anymore partisan than this shit? Just because Bolivia was under the socialism party means everything was a coup. Yeah sorry, but folks need mental help if you stand by people at this peak level of stupidity.
Below is the quickest article I could find, so I have no idea if this is a left or right leaning site.

Ocasio-Cortez Joins Chorus of Critics Condemning Coup in Bolivia That Forced Out Socialist President | Common Dreams
"What's happening right now in Bolivia isn't democracy," she said.www.commondreams.org
Winter is coming?Lordy, not throwing stoned 🙂
It's occurred to me that if the Democrats are engaging in a coup then by a like reasoning, Trump is a traitor and subject to the ultimate penalty provided for by the Constitution and law. That would be something Trumpettes would not like.
I don't think this thread is going as the OP was expecting.
man, she's really crawled up your kiester, hasn't she?
Do you have an app that updates you every time AOC says something?
If you could see my driveway you'd know winter is here. Oh, we could use some global warming now!!! /sWinter is coming?

Apparently some don't "word" properly, that is to say understanding what a word means and its proper usage.
Naturally, there was a coup in the correct sense of the word. Once we know commonplace words and their correct application then we proceed to the next basic thought process of justification. The word coup seems to be something people are still struggling with.
hmmm, nothing to see here folks, just the Bolivian Guaido
Call it a coup if it makes you feel better - I honestly do not care at this point if that is the odd-argument you guys are clinging to. The criticism is incompetent morons in congress that apparently believe that this was somehow a fair election. You guys do understand that right?
As plenty of people here say "Coups aren't necessarily a bad thing".... That's precisely what AoC and Omar are saying. Derp. These are the same dumb broads that stood beside Venezuela and Madura for fucks sake. Please for the love of god just understand how incompetently stupid this dumb women are. I feel like they need to be air-dropped with nothing in these countries to see what life is actually like.
Even the fucking NYT doesn't necessarily agree with you that this is a coup in the broad sense of the word. Damn near every "coup" that most people commonly refer to it as isn't an uprising - it's an organized revolt against the current government... NOT enforcing the government that was already there.
The people and the military do not want to appoint a dictator. They don't want to change the constitution or change the government or change the structure of the government or change the election structure. They want the current administration to step down based on proven corruption and for there to be a properly elected new administration based on what the people actually voted for.

The Cold War binary of “bad” coups and “good” popular revolts no longer applies. But the labels persist, with important consequences.www.nytimes.com
I mean just riddle me this - Devil's Advocate here - if next year Trump committed pure election fraud and was caught does he get an "oopsies! My bad! Let's have a re-do?" How do you think that would work out here in the US?
Not only that but the President of the US called the impeachment a coup. What a retard, https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-...ald-trump-says-impeachment-coup-s-pants-fire/To be fair, the GOP is calling the impeachment hearings a "coup" as well. So the word has lost a lot of meaning.

I think you and I have different values for "contradiction".
Your argument : Threat of violence != violence -> non actualized threat of violence -> peaceful.
I get it, its the same reason Trump is innocent in the Ukraine ordeal. Right? He wanted to do it, tried to do it, fumbled the robbery, therefor not go to jail.
Right?
In other news, as your mom cant fly, she is probably a stone.
(edit : before anyone have a seizure over the line above and hits "report", look it up, it has foundation in history of deduction).
If he clarifies his argument he'll have to admit that his argument is terrible though.Could you edit your post? I've having trouble following your point through the blizzard of misogynist raving.
This is just an example of people "thinking with their feels." He has a particular emotional association with "coup" that is incongruent with his feels on this particular coup. Therefore he has a "feels expectation mismatch" and proceeds with rambling in a nonsensical fashion. It's honestly not complicated to understand these folks.Point to one poster in this thread how is "supporting Bolivia's administration". We're just correcting you calling other people dumb for using the correct definition of what a coup is. Maduro needs to go, but if the military told him to resign and he did then it would be a coup as well.
