anyway you can get EAX 3.0 with onboard in w7 x64?

I had thought there was something you could buy that would do it in software, but I don't remember what it was.

Also, what was the latest version of A3D? Are there any w7 x64 emulators for that?

If you have a realtek chip, they have a beta driver for 3D sound on their website somewhere. Go look for it. It's called 3D SoundBack.

So, is this basically a software solution for EAX 5.0 HD effects. i.e. I don't need my SB X-Fi PCI card in my system any longer if I buy this? Eventually I'll need to get a PCIe sound card in my system, and I'm not sure I want a Creative one, but I do like the EAX effects turned on in the games that support them.

Remember: software solution = CPU use. It won't be hardware accelerated positional audio.

In the meantime, if you already have a SB card, you want to install Creative ALchemy.
