Anyway to send a group email without the recipients being able to read all the address in the group?

I can't recall, but BlindCopy is what you want.

Send it TO: yourself and the rest go in the BC or BCC area.

Ok i think BCC works for sending too hotmail, but is there anyway to get it past hotmail's spam filter?

Gmail shows you who it was bcc'd to because you sent it. The people you sent it to won't see that.
