Anyway to recover Xbox live account

I am looking for a way to recover my Xbox live account. Basically, my Xbox fried and I bought a new one. The problem is that some time ago, my hotmail account linked to the Xbox Live account started sending spam. I changed the password but did not jot it down and for whatever reason it does not have a secret question for recovery.

My intention was to use my Xbox Live account on the new console to get my DLC's back- which I think is a fair request no?

Anyways, I tried doing the MS Live password recovery process but they are saying that I am not providing enough information so won't help me. I only use it for Xbox Live so gave them everything I had purchased on there, my credit card information, address, etc. but they still refuse to give me a new password. I called Xbox Live support and they said they were unable to help me as it was a Live problem and not Xbox problem. (which means I may have posted this in the wrong place)

So... considering that both possibilities will not help me, is there another way to recover the password? On MSN/Hotmail the account is locked out due to too many failed attempts so I can't do it there, it has to be via the console if I have to do it myself.

Ideas? I would prefer not having to swap hard drive with the new console whenever I want to access some DLC or play Rockband!

Therein lies the problem. I have been trying since December 14th to do so but MS is refusing to consider me the owner of the account even though I've given them every shred of information I can.

It makes it difficult when the account is locked out and they won't recognize me as the owner. Even if I could somehow hack the account it's locked out so I can't login whether or not I have the password...
