Whoever wrote the intall prog should be summarily shot. What moron doesn't forsee changing operating systems when he writes an install prog? Anyway, it's booting me out of the install immediately since I don't have win 2000 or XP. Is there a switch I can use anywhere to fix this nonsense? I'm sure that this will run on 2003 if I can get it installed.

*WORKS* Check my second post :)

Not many people play games on their server I guess. But then I guess they never expected anyone to try to play games on a server os and perhaps mission critical hardware.

I don't want to be a smart ass and say 2003, but I am guessing that was when. It's a server OS, but I believe it shares the same basic foundation with XP. It's run every game I've thrown at it so far, and only Doom3 is dumb enough to not allow me to actually install it.

EDIT: let's see if this works :)

Hmm, I wish I could edit that .msi file without getting all that sdk junk from MS.

If you are networked to a Win 2000 or XP box, this is easy.

Just install it on the Win 2000 or XP box, then copy the entire game directory onto your 2003 box.
This worked for me when I had to install TC Streets of LA (which sucks btw) and I was on 2003 Server.

I did this and it totally locked up my server but this may or may not be due to it having an ati card that barely does opengl.
