i want to get rid of the blue bar at top..

i'm running windows XP. i mean the blue bar at the top of browsers.. currently it says "Posting a Message - Mozilla Firebird"

yeah, that. i never use those 3 buttons, anything i do with the window i do through it's location on the taskbar, and thus, it's just wasted space that i find annoying.

any way to get rid of this?

anyone? thanks.

Have you tried looking at the Kiosk extension? This might do what you want, or if not you can hack browser.jar to just hide the bit that you want to hide. I haven't tried it myself, but I'll have a look if you can't get it to work.

well... i can run it full screen, but that's not what i want to do.

see, if i run it full screen, it hides the taskbar (which is on a different monitor).

i also want to have the back, forward, refresh, and address bar at top.

That's really more of a windows setting. You could try something like windows blinds or shellWM and see if they can do that for you, but that would do it for every program.

That's easy. You can just drag them to wherever you want. Go to "View>Toolbars>Customize..."

Here's a pic of my Firebird toolbar setup.

well, i had known about that, i was referring to not going full screen, but still maximizing screen space (cause there's problems with going full screen). i wanted to get rid of the darn blue bar, but it looks like i cant, so oh well. looks like it wont be too bad anyway, i managed to compress it all down to 1 toolbar, and the blue bar.

here's the results currently. i still need to use the background image in the address bar, and set that text to white. not quite sure how to do that, but i'm working on it.

i also need to change the color it defaults to in the "on hover" over bookmark links in the bookmark toolbar.
