anyway to get a email when you have a PM???

You might try checking google for the ATPM Notifier. Not sure it exists anymore. It looks sorta like gtalk. In gtalk, if someone sends you mail, you get a little pop-up notification. With the ATPM Notifier, you get a very similar notification; you can reply to the PM right there from the notification window, too. Pretty nifty.
