<< Basically, if someone is willing to accept the health and legal risks, no matter how great or small, you really should stay out of it unless they are somehow affecting you. >>

go listen to ben harper - burn one down 🙂

Oh really?, good sticky marjiuana has been around before the moniker "Kind Bud" was invented?
rolleye.gif

not around here, a dime bag is a unit of measurement, there are 5 dimes in a half ounce

And what does dime bag mean? 1/5 of a half ounce? so your telling me that a 1/2 ounce (14 grams roughly) divided into 5 baggies (2.8 grams roughly) is a "dime bag" that doesn't sell for $10, that makes sense. So the word "dime means...............? comon 😛

EDIT: I just noticed you were from NC, thats why you call it Kine bud, it's the southern pronuciation I assume.

A dime bag is a unit of measurment here, if you are buying sh!t weed, a dime bag is going to cost you $10. If you buy a dime of mid, it is going to cost more. A dime bag of mid does not cost $10. And if some reason you were going to buy a dime of kine bud😛 (which I've never seen anybody do, it's always bought in grams, eights and half eights) it would cost even more

<< Are drugs illegal for a reason? Yes. Should drugs STAY illegal? Yes. >>

Quick FYI, pot was made illegal not because it's so "evil" but because it was seen as an economic threat to the tobacco and cotton industries.
Not all laws are just or sensible, you shouldn't just follow them blindly.

Basically, if someone is willing to accept the health and legal risks, no matter how great or small, you really should stay out of it unless they are somehow affecting you.

I think you got your history wrong, bud 😉 (sorry, bad pun)

This is taken from MASSNCANN a pro-marijuana site

<< By 1930 it was reported that there were at least 500 of these "tea pads" in New York City alone. During the Great Depression as unemployment increased, resentment and fear of the Mexican immigrants became connected to marijuana use. Numerous research studies linked marijuana use by lower class communities with crime and violence. In 1937, Congress passed the Marijuana Tax Act which criminalized the drug. From 1951 to 1956 stricter sentencing laws set mandatory minimum sentences for drug-related offenses. In the 1950s the beatniks appropriated the use of marijuana from the black hepsters and the drug moved into middle-class white America in the 1960s. >>

EDIT:
Another link that supports the above history and again from a pro-marijuana site

Here's another one

<< While hemp has been grown in America since 1611 (Grinspoon, 1971, p.11), the practice of smoking marijuana did not become widespread until the 1920's-a period of strong drug intolerance during the "great social experiment" of alcohol prohibition. Marijuana use was highest among people who also used opiates, primarily recent immigrants. In the 1930's, the common belief that immigrants were inhumane and violent included a strong belief that marijuana was part of the cause. Since it was associated with opiates, marijuana was quickly defined as a narcotic (Musto, 1991, p.45), and by 1931 all but two states had passed anti-marijuana legislation. The final two did so by 1937, the same year the federal government created the Marijuana Tax Act (National Commission on Marihuana and Drug Abuse 1972, p.14)-for which no tax stamps were ever issued. Not once during this period of prohibitive legislation was any research conducted on marijuana and it's effects, nevertheless it was almost universally assumed that marijuana was a narcotic, caused psychological dependence, provoked violent crime, and led to insanity (ibid.) >>

Interesting. I've heard my story in a number of places even though I couldn't find any links to it just now.

If I find it, I'll post it.
Either way, my last point stands 🙂

so the same people who used opiates used marijuana and because these people were violent and went insane they blamed it on pot...

weed isn't exactly as horrible as people make it out to be. but if it gets to the point where they smoke everyday and become addicted then it's time to stop. and this is coming from an x stoner. i smoked for 5 years before i quit because i (personally) didn't like what it did to me. although most people have no problem with getting high every once in a while. drugs were fun when i didn't have a hobby. now i'm just addicted to computers instead of drugs. 🙂 and they'll pay me for that one day, unlike being an addict. 😀

it's good to see that somebody in here actually knows wat they're talking about!....n e body that thinks a dime bag is $10 worth of pot is a f*ckin retard!...some ppl don't even know that there are different grades of pot......swag, mid, kine, red hair, purple hair, commercial, yada yada yada.....$10 worth of commercial wouldn't even be the dust left in the bag!!!lol....i wish u could get a dime of kine for $10!!!lol....it's always funny when ppl. give the whole "it's illegal" speech.....who gives a sh*t if it's illegal....ppl. break the law every minute of ever day, that's why they made the laws in the first place.....the legality of it is really irrelevant

<< $10 worth of commercial wouldn't even be the dust left in the bag!!! >>

Commercial is brick weed, it's just shwag with a name to make it sound good
ewwww....
commerical:disgust:

Smoking pot is stupid. Every day or once a month. My opinion, of course.

<< well breathing burned vegetable matter is always a good way to get cancer 😉 >>

Yes, but smoking marijuana doesen't cause cancer. 🙂 I don't have the article offhand, but researchers found the reason that - even though the smoke contains some carcinogenic substances, cancer is never developed. It had to do with other chemicals in the pot, and how it reacted with the cells in your lungs.. lol

Do a repeat of the old commercial with the "this is your brain/this is your brain on drugs" bit and the eggs in the frying pan. Then hit them in the head with the frying pan. Should do the trick.

i doubt that truely;P carbon monoxide is carbon monoxide.

Maleficus' perspective

Alcohol - Kills brain cells and greatly inhibits your judgement and causes thousands of deaths each year. Very dangerous substance

Marijuana - The smoke is really the only dangerous chemical from what i have read, some studies say the chemicals because they are fat soluable or something adversely affect the brains LONG term memory but many many say there is no long term affect. There is the possibility though that they will have trouble introducing things into short term memory while the substance is being used, afterwards this fades away with the effects of the chemical.

I also think people need to be more open minded to other possibilities in arguements and need to look for the most UNBIASED source they can when looking for information on such a controversial topic.

The legality of this i think should also be disreguarded for the sake of arguement, after all if you really want to get technical many of us break the law probably at least weekly without even noticing it or thinking twice about it.

***Note*** I have never tried Marijuana and I do not drink so i have no first hand experience with either of these substances

Since I know you all want to hear my opinion...

Do whatever you like, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. Marijuana should be legal, even though I don't see any reason to smoke it (you could take it like the title says, condense the THC into a pill...), it's not anyone's place to tell someone else what to do with their lives. You can be concerned of course, and it's nice that you are concerned about your friends.

I'm no doctor, so I don't know if weed has negative effects on people. I've seen messed up people who do use drugs, and messed up people who don't. Marijuana can't be any worse than alcohol.

I've never drank, smoked, taken any drugs, and I don't plan to (maybe some wine at my wedding or something).

The 'war' on drugs is a joke. The government tells us not to do them, then sells them. I suggest that you do some serious research. Find all of the information you can, and present it to them. If they don't stop, then they have made an informed decision. They'll respect you for caring, in all likelyhood.

snitch on them.

back in when i was in high school, there was this kid that was dumb enuff to come to school smelling like he ahd just smoked pot. he failed. hey somebody has to work at mcdonalds for the rest of their lifes to make our fast food cheap.

we 0wn them

<< hehe

if u did soak it etc, they would find out. someone like me, they would smell it to see if it gotten stail or is it some nice high grain stuff.

or else they won't spark it
>>

Obviously. Household ammonia is only 5% ammonia and 95% water. Unless he has a way of effectively drying them, it will be all wet and soggy. What about adding something more interesting such as a few drop of fog-machine fluid? You can also chemically leech out the over 90% of active ingridient from pot, flush the extractant down the loo and replace it with a few drop of inert oil such as vegetable or silicone oil. Your friend will smoke, smoke smoke and smoke the pot and he simply wouldn't get high, because all the potent stuff went down the drain with the solvent.

<< it would be fun to take a bat and smash his head in. i mean he's already brain dead and all. >>

Sounds to me like he's not the only one
