Yes, just flash it with an iPod updater.

http://www.the-midfield.com/ipod.aspx used to have the instructions, but I believe they are switching servers or something...

Hey, I used the updater but something went wrong. When it said to unplug it and then plug it in again, I did so but now it is messed up.

The apple logo is on the screen. It appears to be frozen. A hard reboot does nothing but bring the apple logo back up again. I even let the batteries run out.

The ipod updater no longer recognizes the ipod.

Is there a way to fix it?
