I pick up accents very easily. But I can never do them if I try.

I came back from a Princess cruise with a slight English accent once.

I'm the same way. Last time I visited NYC, I came back saying "F this" and "F that." 🙂
 
Well, you could start by drinking all of your beer warm, and eating extremely bland food...

BTW, if you really want to get the ladies, you might try taking a minute or two to leave ATOT and meet people IN THE FLESH. Or you could watch lots of Sean Connery movies, "cuz chicks dig a Scottish accent" a lot more than the British accent.
 
Watch movies like snatch and practice, though some people just suck at them. I used to have a real one, but have none now. I can, however, do a good one. Not sure how much of that is the fact I used to really do one.

I didn't think anyone liked American accents apart from Americans... 😛

Anyway I know about three Australians form work, and theyve told me many times in the past that Australians aren't too keen on Americans, theyve a lot more in common with us Brits. In fact, even though I personally like Amercans, I reckon as a nation they must be just about the most unpopular in the world.
 
Whats it called, Received Perception or something...Tony Blair does it to make himself sound smart and stuff in speeches.
 
The only thing that sounds stupider than an American faking a British accent is a white suburban teenager trying to sound like a black drug dealer.

Egad, I could have wrung someone's neck, I was so annoyed I almost dropped my tea and scones. If there's any damage from condensation i'll be jolly annoyed. Imagine if someone had pilfered the goods? I'm going to ring them up tommorrow and give them a piece of my mind, I am almost tempted to write my local member of parliament! What would be the best way to pursue this course of action, do you think i'll be compensated if anythings knackered? Am I entitled to compensation for gross-negligence?
