Anything wrong with the Apex Digital AD-1500 DVD Player?

It has no component out...don't care.
It has no built in decoder...don't care.
It has no Progressive scan...don't care.

Ok now that we have those out of the way is there anything wrong with this player?

Because it's $100 cheaper than the next cheapest...I have a pretty medicore TV, it's just a 27" Mitsubishi. It's not bad, but it's certainly not a Wega. I don't feel the need to buy a $400 DVD player or even a $300 one if this $200 unit will do the trick.

I just need Composite out and 2 channel RCA audio out. Yes I know full well I won't be using the full capabilities of my DVDs. But guess what: I'm fscking sick of watching DVDs on a 17" screen!!!!

So...why is this DVD player so cheap?

Edit: all prices are in canadian dollars.

Well there's nothing wrong with it, it'll play your DVDs. But a more expensive player may give you a better picture and may have a better repair record. You may or may not be able to see the difference on your TV, but if you upgrade your TV you probably will be able to see the difference. Check one out in a store and if the picture looks good to you, go for it.

$200 Canadian, at a B&M.

There are lots in the $300 ($200US) range.
I'm a cheap f*ck.
