Anything wrong with renting out a place above a store?

Rent is $300CDN a month for downtown Toronto. But it's above a store. This has internet, cable, furniture, and utilities included. Sounds too good to be true.

Any reason why I shouldn't be interested? I sent the guy an email. And no I have not seen the room.

edit: the area is around College, famous for it's rows and rows of computer shops, and spadina, which is Chinatown.

It doesn't say. I emailed the guy asking for a meeting. I'll see what it is.. generally in that area it's all computer shops or chinese restaurants.

If you were in Amsterdam I'd say no if it was a "Coffee Shop", but since you're in Canada I say yes if it's a coffee shop. Really though, there's no cause for concern unless the business generates noxious fumes that you might have to deal with on a regular basis.

Make sure your parking is designated and off street. Be prepared for conflicts over that.
Good luck with the early shoppers / late night crowds.

No car. The university is across the street, so I'd just be biking.
Thanks. It's about 6-7 blocks away from the clubbing district though, it should be ok. :)
