I have really 'dry skin'.

The other day, I took a long walk on a pretty day - and at some point during the walk, my skin cracked down to the 'live' part on the heel of my foot. It bled somewhat. It hurts as a 8 on a scale of 1-10 - where 10 is being burned by a direct flame :p

Other than the obvious - go see a doc. . . which I doubt I'll do over this (unless it gets worse/infected) - is there anything to speed this healing? It only hurts when I walk, but of course I stand at my job and guess what alot . . .

My father has a problem with cracked heals and this is what he uses. Warning it will hurt a 13 on that scale when you apply this stuff but it does wonders for him. Note if your heels have a LOT of built up callus on them you might have to file them down first.

Lol. Sorry, your pain threshold is a bit low though. A ten is having your foot amputated sans pain killers. Which makes your cracked heel a 3.

In any case, try Zim's Crack Cream.

i had a problem with cracked feet...didn't hurt me that much but my pain threshhold is high enough where I just took a bone injection and didn't even flinch. Doc was surprised by my lack of reaction. Probably thinks I am on drugs :)

I used some products at CVS with urea in them and it cleared up. Many actually have athletes feet though and would be better served with one of those remedies.
