Anything to do in SC or NC?

taking a road trip from MI to South Carolina then to North Carolina and back. any good family-type destinations worth recommending? amusement parks, aquariums, whatever. need to get the hell out of the D, stat.

South of the Border!

the kids will be screaming about it.

be sure to eat some real BBQ as you will finally have the chance to do so. (tip: avoid the mustard crap in SC)

real advice: do not go to South of the Border.

You obviously do not belong in the south.

Even the green beans are cooked with fatback.

yum.

You have also besmirched the term BBQ.

BBQ = slow cooking over low, constant heat. Almost exclusively smoked. A burger, or veggie for that matter, has never been BBQ'd. they have been grilled, sure, but a grill is not a BBQ. it does not BBQ.

BBQ= method
grill = a device upon which to cook, and is not capable of BBQing.

Aren't those some of the worst states racism wise? I know, I know it's a stereotype, but still. If true, do not want.

The KKK began in Ohio.

just sayin... :whiste:

but it all depends on where you go. The part of NC where I grew up isn't racist, in general. But, you know, wherever there are octogenarian southerners, you'll find racism.

I have family that lives in SC. my god, the little town they live in....scary. but that's not all of SC....only 98% of it (in my experience.)
😀

Sorry, my brain is shit. Been turning into an asshole lately.

Arent there a couple water parks? I seem to recall driving by some but I cant recall where.

Emerald Point is in Greenville--eastern NC. Carrowinds--or whatever it's called now, is the big amusement park in Charlotte, so it (like the funking panthers) is "shared" with SC through some legislative cornholing and BS. They also have a water park

Understand. N.Y. in March, myself.

What part of the state?

Edit: You go with my wife in March and I'll stay home.

oh damn. u live in SC. maybe you can be my chauffeur and guide? i'd pay you of course. $3/day, plus one meal. plus you get to hang around my awesomeness.

racism doesn't bother me. i find it funny. i will be packing heat anyway. :sneaky:

I'll do it for free if you go to N.Y.

Packing heat? Good. You'll fit right in.

and yeah, depending on where you are makes a big difference. NC has the BR Parkway and other mountain life adventures if that's your thing, but that's all in the Western part. The East is completely different.

For SC, I think anything you would want to visit is on the East--Charleston, which is quite nice, and Myrtle Beach--the scumhole of the US. :awe:
