Anything I can legally do with an DirectTV satellite dish

When I moved into my new house I found a Direct TV satellite dish still connected to the outside wall. It appeared the people who had lived in the house before, had DirectTV and had returned the receiver/decoder to the company when they moved out, but no one was going to come out to remove the dish. I was wondering if there is anything I can legally (I don't want to pirate DirectTV) do with an DirectTV satellite dish besides use it as a bird feeder. Can it get over-the-air local NTSC analog TV signals or ATSC HDTV signals? Or can it get Satellite TV? Can I use it has a SETI device? Thanks.

You may be able to turn it into a directional 802.11 antenna, but I could be wrong.

I think they're too small to make a decent radio telescope out of, but again, i could be wrong.

Find out which of your neighbours is paranoid and point it at their house after painting "Mind Control Ray" on it.
