I'm cooking some ground beef for taco's tonight and want to add something different other than the usual salt/pepper/garlic powder. Anything to zest it up? I don't have any crazy ingredients. Have some lemons.

a small can of tomato sauce + the same can filled with water. Simmer until it's thick. And a few sprinkles of Chili Powder.

Best Tacos ever.

You guys still aren't getting it. You want to BROWN the meat, that is your flavor. This means medium-high heat, ignore what the dial says, you want medium-high heat, my 0-10 dial means I need a 6 for that. 2-3 seconds of your hand over the pan at about .5 inch would be good.

I would recommend browning the meet instead of stewing it.

When we make ground beef for tacos we add:
Onion powder
garlic
a little cumin
a very little bit of cayenne
plenty of chili powder

The cumin is what really gives it the mexican flavor.

Oh yeah, we definitely BROWN the meat.
Once it's browned, we add the spices and a little bit of water, just to make it a little moist and saucy and spread the spices around.

And if you want to make steak tacos instead of ground beef, add fresh lime juice to that recipe. So frickin good.

Oh, thanks. I read through but didn't see it.

I got some bacon salt recently... I bet that would be pretty good!
