Anything I can add to ground beef to give it some more flavor?

I'm cooking some ground beef for taco's tonight and want to add something different other than the usual salt/pepper/garlic powder. Anything to zest it up? I don't have any crazy ingredients. Have some lemons.

Onions, cumin, chili powder, pickle relish, ranch dressing, BBQ sauce, anchovy paste, tuna fish, broccoli, horseradish, bologna, yogurt. That's just off the top of my head.

Works well, but you have to be careful not to add too much, or it will taste really bad.

Sure, why not. It's obvious you've never tasted either. Go ahead and throw in some mayonnaise while you're at it.

Those taco seasoning packets at the supermarket sure are pesty little suckers aren't they?

LOL!

Chili powder, cayenne, coriander (sp?), sage, rosemary and thyme, onion powder, whatever. If you want to zest it up, chili powder will do just fine.

You're biggest flavor will come from actually browning the meat, not stewing it. Sweat some onions in bacon grease first then add the beef, cover in whatever spice you like then BROWN it. don't stew it.

Dried parsely? You might as well use shredded paper. :/ You can't substitute cumin.

I like to add some fine dice red onion, cumin, pepper, salt, a little cayenne, little tabasco and a pinch of allspice. If I'm really in the mood to rock, diced dried chiles.

Top it off with a salsa and grilled corn and squash on the weber. And beer.

My wife makes her own taco spices. New Mexico HOT chili powder, cayanne pepper, cumin, paprika, juice of 1/2 lime, and diced jalapeno.

MUCH better than the packaged crap in the store. (tastes better, better for you)

like crono posted, I usually use a seasoning mix package, usually ortega.
