Historic Williamsburg is nice with Busch Gardens nearby. Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is a hidden gem in Richmond. Amazing. The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond is 5 star. Shockoe Bottom has great restaurants and bars. Charlottesville has one of the most beautiful university campuses in the country + Monticello and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fredericksburg is between DC and Richmond and was the location of 3 Civil War battles. Very quaint town.
