I'm using an Asus V7700 32mb Gts(Pure) now , and if i can sell it for some decent cash I wanna replace it with a card with Tv-output . I'm using a Hollywood Plus DVD decoder card to output dvd's to my tv now and was thinking a Radeon card could make my HW card obsolete , give me 3d on par with what i have now , and output avi's to my tv , not mention sharper 2d then i've got now .

I was thinking the original Radeon 64 vivo would be great and in my price range. The 7500 and the 8500 are both out of my pricerange and the 7200 would be a downgrade in 3d performance . Anyone know of any online store that ships that card to Montreal , Canada ? I haven't seen it lsold locally for a while now.

If you want tv-out but don't need video in, then the Radeon 8500 is only like $40 bucks more and you get a great improvement over the older card. Ncix has it for $275 and is located in Ottawa, but from here you can get the OEM 8500 for $305. In the states you can get an even better deal on it down to about $265 Can for the 8500 or $235 for the Radeon 64 vivo.

K Thanks for the input , 305 $ Can is less than I thought an 8500 would cost , though still a bit pricey. I'm gonna have to check out some reviews of the 7500 to see if it can do all I want .

I've also seen the Radeon 8500 under $300 here in Canada too at other locations. If you don't need vivo, go with the better Radeon 8500 cause you're going to get more use out of that.
