Georgia!

We have like nothing .. no scorpions, no spiders really. There are some snakes, but 90% of them are harmless.

Georgia has a bunch of scorpions, none that'll kill you, but they are here. Nothing like laying in bed and have one crawling on your chest.

I'll go ahead and revive this thread from 15 years ago... I'm sure some of these posters have been married, had kids, and maybe even divorced in that time.

Northern Alaska has polar bears.

The South? Just avoid the South.

California and most of the West Coast have rattlesnakes and mountain lions.

Arizona has jaguars and peccaries, too. And Gila monsters.

The Mountain States have brown- and black bears and wolves. And moose.

The Northeast has black bears and moose. And Great Whites and seals (nasty bite).

Everywhere has deer, which are actually dangerous.

You have nowhere to go, really.

Hawaii has no native poisonous snakes. But, sharks, so...

Your first post is a 14 year necro and you manage to say something profound too? Well done!!

Orange County, CA

Nah...you have rogue Housewives there...as well as black widow spiders and possibly brown recluse spiders...get out of town a ways and you have rattlesnakes and tarantulas too. (The CA tarantulas aren't dangerous for most people...more like a bee sting.)

In New Zealand right now. I asked and was informed they do have a few poisonous spiders but they are so rare that "they don't count".

No snakes, no crocs, no scorps.

I don't know of anywhere without some dangerous animal, except maybe the Bahamas...no poisonous snakes, no crocodilians, no scorpions or nasty spiders (not quite sure about the spiders, though)

Aside from the massive necro...

I've lived all over the U.S. In central CT right now. Nothing super wild here. If you live in the boonies, you'll see an occasional bear, but nothing really around the central part like Hartford. The only downside is that it's stupid expensive to live here because we tax everything like mad. But regarding OP's question (posted when I was a wee lad just out of high school, apparently), CT is the safest place I have ever lived.

A Brown Recluse bit my neighbor in Indiana once years ago.

*shrug*

There are even scorpions in Hawaii, but they aren't that potent.

Probably Alaska? There's bigger animals like bears, but at least you can see them easily unlike all the poisonous spiders that might be hiding under your toilet seat at this very moment. Or the tiny holes in the under side of the bowl rim, and they'll only come out the next time you flush.

For such a populous state, NY (downstate) rarely has any issues with anything. The most dangerous animal is probably the terrorist.

It depends on the setting. I've had both bear and moose just materialize out of nowhere, way too close for comfort. How animals that size can move with little to no sound in the brush sometimes is downright freaky.

I'll take any kind of spider of snake over having to deal with a pissed off moose. There's no antidote for what a moose can do to you. You can scare bears off rather easily, just make noise, don't look afraid. You do that with a bull moose in the rut and they'll be gathering your remains with a rake.

How about u just move to England.
Last time I checked we don’t have bears walking around or snakes in ya bedroom in the morning or anywhere tbh. We don’t have poisonous spiders or dangerous wildlife or even god damn mosquitoes. We don’t have hurricanes, earthquakes or tornadoes the weather isn’t really great but at least we don’t have to die from some stupid poisonous spiders.

Yeah, they only would need to worry about toxic caterpillars.

{Did you know this thread was first started in 2003, and the most recent post, prior to yours, was in 2017?}

Do illegal immigrants, ethnic gangs, .

Yes most illegal immigrants are dangerous 🙄 You must listen to way way too much Donald Trump as Gospel.

And all gangs are generally bad, not just ethnic ones.

WATCH OUT FOR DEM DAMN ETHNICS AND IMMIGRANTS Y'ALL

We have chavs to fill the evolutionary niche left from killing all the other aggressive wildlife.
