I've only ever overclocked two systems - the first an AMD 586 P75 133 to 160.
This system is coming up to six years old now and still going strong. It runs Win98 no problem and for general/internet use it still performs well.
All my friends overclocked systems are performing flawlessly; Generally, I think as long as you keep the cpu temp some 5 degrees lower than the stated maximum your processor is going to have a reasonably healthy life span (perhaps 15 years instead of 20).
To prove me wrong, I ask has anyone out there held on to an overclocked system and found that it has died early?
