It sounds good at first, til you realized that the same place you get your paycheck also gets it back so it is almost like free labor. Don't work there for that reason.

IMO, I think they use the word "cost" very open.

I currently work at cc. If you are going to be in the technology department you should be able to start at 10/hour.

CC is a mess right now though. They just fired several thousand employees nationwide to save money. (the most payed ones) So now all the newbies(me included), are having to take on the responsibilities of all those people who got paid a crapload more to do the same job.
6 good friends got fired because of that crap. And they where worth the money that they where getting payed. Now that they don't have all these good salespeople anymore and are replaceing them with not-as-good people.. they are going to make less money. So they are now trying to compensate that loss by making the sales people be more aggressive at selling warranties and such. My new manager has taken on a 'dont sell it at all if they don't want warranty' position, which is pi$$ing customers off and making cc lose business. (and I hate doing it.. because it's just wrong, and I get chewed out by customers almost daily now)

It's all going to depend on the managers really. We just got a new one.. they old guy was really cool and it was really fun to work their.

I work at Circuit City. Used to work at BB, I love my store, great bunch of people that work there. YMMV though, from some stories I hear I guess I just got lucky. Base pay for my dept. is $9hr.
