Anyone work in the Heating & Cooling Industry?

My wife and I are looking at replacing our 22 year old furnace. Just looking for general recommendation on brands to stay away from or brands to concentrate on. We've only gotten one estimate so far and they recommended these specific models by Amana, Lennox, and Armstrong.

I know the major name brands everyone has heard of are Carrier and Trane but I'ev also heard that they are just popular because of advertising and their products aren't as good of quality as some others.

Anyway, just looking for general info if anyone is educated in this industry.
