Oh wow I didn't expect that result at all! Well best of luck to you in round two. More experience in life and work never hurts. Keep moving forward. In the meantime I may pm you in the near future regarding hosting a site for my wife. She wants to start her own graphic design business

Let me know if you need anything, I am sure we can help at madgenius :).

The interview process was very different, usually it's 1 phone, 1 in person, and you get an offer or not.

Don't feel bad, you're prob better off to be honest. I got to second round too a few years ago, same story. I'm glad it happened.

I am not too sad, something else will come along, it always does.

It's the first time I haven't received a offer after having an onsite, which is what bothers me most.

Same story for me. Pride takes a bit of a hit.. but when you consider google can basically have anyone in the world they want it helps a bit. Like I said, I think you're better off personally.

So you were NOT accept for a job offer with google?

Interview process seems somewhat similar to what I went through with Amazon. I think something like 4 phone interviews later, it was decided that I wasn't a good fit.

That fucking sucks man ... Your and zeze's threads inspired me on my own job search quest.

They probably have tons of candidates and thus the intensive interview process.

Just a thought, why do people want to work for google? Is it because of the name "Google" and would help later in the career or the benefits and compensations are just that much better than average companies?

That sums it up. NO job offer. She never said I was good fit or bad fit, she just said they opted to not give me a job offer.

Personally, reputable, large company I could move up, hopefully quickly. That is the problem I am having at this smaller 1500~ user company. No where to move up to right now, or anytime soon...everyone stays, til they retire.

Plus, what a fun conversational piece for perspective employers.
