My girlfriend was offered a sales associate position by some guy she met at a coffee shop. I did some research on the company and supposedly they have alot of good things going for them and they have a "positive feel" website. but then I found this page:

Anyone know what the actual work involves?

Primerica, AFLAC, Washington Mutual, Prudential etc etc all insurance companies recruit that way. The guy in the link that said 1% of people succeed is correct. Put your resume up on Monster.com or any other career website and watch the automated "WE ARE SO INTERESTED IN YOU" form emails roll in. They hire anyone, and hell I went to a recruiting fair at a hotel it was hilarious. You could tell which people were educated and as soon as all the promises/bullsh!t starting coming out person after person walked out.

if it's like the aflac rep that comes to our office:

she comes by whenever we have new employees, does her presentation, and tries to sign people up. she probably gets commission on however many she signs up.
