What res and color depth are ya playin with? d3d or opengl? what kind of fps are ya getting?

I have a CLA2 clocked at 205/360 on a (see sig.). I play in 10x7x32 and average about 35fps in busy online games. But I also get some serious slow downs, like 10-15fps at times. anyone get this?

I've got a 64MB GTS2 on a P2-400 and it seems kind of choppy at times even though I'm running it at 640x480 D3D 16-bit depth....haven't run any timedemos though, dunno how to yet...

well I'm getting about 35-47fps at 1024x768x16 (depending on what level on playing)and I'm using a hercules geforce 2 mx. hwta drivers are you using. also I'm uisng a older version, like 4.06 or something

Jeez, you guys are getting awful frame rates. I'm running an average 60-80 fps at 1024x768x32 in OpenGL with the S3 textures using the Loki DLL. (Only need to bump the gamma up a notch.) It's even faster than D3D. I was in the 50s with D3D.

Specs:

Abit BE6-II (2/1/00 QY BIOS)
P3-700 @ 927 MHz (SL454, 132x7)
384MB (3 x 128MB) PC133 RAM (Micron)
ASUS V7700 GeForce2 GTS (210/375 on leaked 6.26 drivers)
Creative Labs Soundblaster Live! Platinum (LiveWare 3.0) (PCI2)
Win 98SE
UT patched to 4.32

What kind of CPU's are you using? If you have a <P2-450, that's gonna be a bottleneck as the video card sits and waits for the geometry to be set up and handed over.

Dirk, what is this &quot;Loki .dll?&quot; The S3 textures are on the second disc, right?

I have 256 PC-133 RAM. I just installed the Det. 6.47 drivers

I have it runnin pretty good in opengl, but can I adjust the gamma? Its just to dark.

Like Dirk, I too am getting good frame rates. 45-50 1024x768 32bit and 60-70 1024x768 16 bit using direct 3D in Windows ME. My Open GL FR's suffered bit so I am sticking with Direct 3D.

I had to tweak things a little in the prefs, but i get 50-60Fps @ 1024x768x32 in D3D with my Prophet 2 GTS 64Meg, 800>900Mhz P3, 384Meg ram...

This games scales big time with the cpu. Very cpu intensive game, especially seen with the non-voodoo video cards.
