Anyone with experience using S/PDIF IN on the A7N8X MoBo.....Please Reply!!!!

If anyone out there is using, or has successfully used the SPDIF IN function on the A7N8X mobo, please let me know how you made it work.

I am using the ASUS S/PDIF add on riser and need to get the Digital COAX connector working. I am also using the nVidia 2.03 unified driver, which now does install the sound drivers on the ASUS mobom, unlike the earlier 2.00 driver.

I get no sound at all when playing in Video View, but I have been told that with the Sound Blaster Live card, the sound comes through even with no player running.

Sooooooo, am I supposed to assume that no one here, has any experience with bringing Digital Sound into a PC using the COAX - SPDIF IN feature of the A7N8X?

No I don't have any experience with digital Audio but I have the same M/B and I'm having issues with flashing the bios and getting a 'cannot find Bios hook' message when trying to run the flashing utility.

BlueMars, two things

1) are you sure you have the BIOS for the Deluxe and not the non-Deluxe, they are different. A7N8X-Deluxe download page

2) try disabling all USB functionality in the BIOS and unplugging all USB devices before flashing (I mention this because of the note here, which seems to hint at some issue with USB being enabled/used while flashing)

Which method of updating have you been trying so far (Windows, traditional floppy, or EZ-Flash method)?
